More lies from 'The Truth'

On October 25, as Franken was making the rounds promoting his new book, one morning stop included a nice little chat with Matt Lauer.

Here is a brief exchange towards the closing of the love-fest:

Lauer: "You don’t have a solution for the problem we’re in Iraq right now. That fair to say?"

Franken: "That’s very fair to say. We do this on my show, I have a three hour show everyday on Air America and we talk to conservatives and we talk to liberals and we talk to people trying to figure out, ‘cause we’ve been put in a terrible situation there.

So what's my problem? Take a gander at line #2 from Franken, "...and we talk to conservatives"

Really? Al talks to conservatives?

Rather than go over to Al Franken's show blog and copy/paste his daily guests, here is the url to check for yourself:

Look for the conservative guest and please feel free to post on my blog if you find any and how many times "we talk to conservatives."

Actually, he has had Bernard Goldberg and Ed Klein on his radio show to promote and discuss their books. These two can hardly be called liberals.

I've only been listening to his show on a regular basis for about a month or two now and 1-2 weeks of that he was on vacation.

The question is whether conservatives have the guts to be on his show.

You completely missed the post.
Franken told Lauer that he had conservatives on his show to talk about the war on Iraq.
I didn't write that Franken has never spoken with a conservative.

I've listened to the show pretty consistently since about a week before the 2004 Presidential Election. I heard the Ed Klein interview. When did he ever have Bernie Goldberg on his show? I've downloaded and listened to every show for about the last 6 months, and I just don't remember this one. Please provide the date, if you can, so I can listen to it again.

And regarding Ed Klein, you can hardly call him a conservative.

Franken had the author of "The Sling and the Stone", Colonel Thomas X. Hammes, on. They specifically talked about the problems with the US handling of the war in Iraq. Evidence that Colonel Hammes is a conservative is his characterization of Al as "a lefty" when Al brought up the firing of gay Arabic translaters. So, there is at least one conservative who has been on the show to talk about the Iraq war.

EKPUZ, please. When Franken says that "we have conservative guests" his intent is to convey the impression that his show is one of differing ideas and opinions. Not that he has to be fair and balanced, but when he has 3-4 guests everyday, and all you can come up with is one, you embarrass yourself.
But please continue to post. Exchanging opinions is healthy and fun.
